I recently had a request to blog about dresses for pearshapes. The biggest myth is that a pearshape should wear oversized tops and cardigans.........eeeeeeeek!! You have the most popular female shape in the world hun!! Why would you hide that 'All Woman, Divalicous, Godgiven frame of yours??' Below are some of my favourites for you!! Fit and Flare Yes - Marilyn Monroe did it...so why can't you??? I especially love these ones because it has the pleats which adds some fullness to the bust and the flare hides the hip, but still gives you gorgeous femininity! Another variation of this style is the one above with the triangular contrast insets. It boadens the shoulders and shows off your slim waist. Beware however, if you have a fuller waist of course! SA Menswear Fashion week

I recently went to SAMFW and they showcased the Winter 2019 collections. The show opened at the prestigious Radisson hotel and Unknown Union showcased and absolute production of art, fashion, and music. How can anyone compete at this level? Unknown Union show day 1 - fashion showcase Unknown Union artwork showcase Day 1-As it's SA Menswear week, I opted for a 3 piece suit.  I am celebrating Menswear.  The backless top and strappy sandals adds a bit of femininity  and completes the look.  Day 2 - I opted for 90's puffed sleeves and foil print skirt Ladies, this style feminizes a square shape, adding  volume and curve to a boyish frame. How to wear your metallic trench

I attended night 1 of SA menswear fashion week in Cape Town this evening and it was excellent. Some of my favourite designers showcased, inclusive of ALC Man, Magents, Issa Leo, just to name  few. So what did I wear? Of course I had to be on trend! Actually - I wore 3 trends in one outfit! Yes, 3!! Trend 1 - Metallics! Metallic silver is huge! I played it down with a darker silver (pewter) to give it a more sophisticated feel. Trend 2 - The Trench! This classic trend is here to stay. Mine is a more feminine version with puffed sleeves ans ruched waist, to soften my boyish frame.  Trend 3 - The ruffled hem! A continuation of this trend from dresses and skirts into coats! I love how feminine it is! If you don't mind the extra edge, add the 4th trend - fishnets!  Whoopa!!!  Ps - My 'on trend coat' is 10 years old!! Yes - I love recycling!
