How to slim down your neckline

Image
Interesting ways to slim your neckline....................... V- V, and more V  - necklines!! They create the illusion of length lady, and it is ultra hot! The key is to make sure that it is not a wide V-neck.    Don't be afraid of collars, especially nicely structured ones - not so much the rounded shapes. If you wear structured collars, they also tend to provide sturdiness around the neck. One shoulders also  create the illusion of a longer and slimmer neckline....... I especially love the stripes on this dress as well. Can you see how this dress makes her look even slimmer? Ensure the you choose the darker shades on the bust if you choose a colourblock dress and you are bigger on top. Don'te be afraid to experiment!!! I love the vertical lines on this one as well. Ultraslimming!!!!!! Turtlenecks..... Don't run away from them if you have a fuller neck. Make sure you wear softer shades like naturals - not brights, or opt for deeper shades. If you love co

Durban July?

Image
Who was your favourite at the Durban July? Below - Claire Mawisa elegantly rocked this beautiful maxi skirt - however, I think this skirt would have been amazing without the side details - the length, fabric and colour is stunning....Less is more! Love the high waist and colourblocking!!! Azania rocked an electric blue dress with embellished bustier. The lines of the bustier is elegant and slimming. Love the contrast of soft VS the bright! Well done! Katlego Makoena is also a fuller figure beauty - but can you see how she pulls of the lemon dress? I would have added a bit of length to the hem (to cover the knees) but furthermore I love everything about this dress including the nude V-shoes - The shape of the shoes slim the foot and ankles! Again - You don't have be a size eight to look great!! I added this pic because I thought this was one of the best looking couples.....what do you think?

You don't have to be a size 8 to look great!!

Mo'nique is a fuller figured beauty who is comfortable with her size! You don't have to cover everything or be afraid to be adventurous! Embrase your shape and rock your style!!!!Well done Mo'nique!

Style star! Gwyneth Paltrow.......

Image
Gwyneth is a long lean gorgeous rectangular shape. She accentuates her best assets and shows off her shape effortlessly. Below are some of her beautiful  looks! :-)  The key is to keep your styling feminine, to add shape and curve. Gwyneth is fortunate to have a great set of legs....not very common amongst rectangles. Bows, ruffles, sheer laces, and satins, are great for you!! Because you are tall - you can carry it off beautifully!!! Gwyneth you are gorgeous!

Rectangular/ruler shapes

Below are some celebrities that share your shape! The shoulder, waist and hip is normally more or less the same, and this frame is often called a 'boyish' frame. Uma Therman, Cameron Diaz, and  Nicole Kidman are probably some of the best known 'rectangles' that  style themselves beautifully

Appleshape - Please do not wear......

Short, boxy jackets - the jacket ends near stomach area and of 'broadens'the are you would much rather camouflage. Pleated skirts - add volume to your shape, and is often unflattering. Broad, horisontal line - are a big 'no-no'. This accentuates the stomach area. Please don't believe the lie - that you have to wear baggy longer tops, - it only makes you look even bigger! Empire lines or wrap styles are great for you hun :-))

Appleshaped celebrities that works their style. My favourite here is Drew - The diagonal lines on the bust create a slimming effect and do you see how she wears a dress that is not fitted, but just skims the hip and waist. My concern is the manner in which she 'poses'shows off her lines - Tip - watch the pose....or opt for a deeper colour?? I must admit - I do not like Jessica Simpson's dress - there is the danger that it might accentuate the wait and bust even more, but she pulls it off well. I know their secret - slimmers!!  Don't go to your flashy event without it hun.......Do you know it slims you almost by 2 sizes?

Scarlot Johansson - Celebrity style star for the day!

Image
Vintage Diva extraordinaire..... This lady encapsulates vintage glamour in an absolutely gorgeous way. She loves classic fashion and pulls it off effortlessly. She is the epitome of femininity and portraits absolute grace at every red carpet event. Scarlet I think you should have been born in the 50's....we love your style diva!

Fashion may fade, but style lasts forever.

Never be cought up battling too hard to fit into that particular trend you love so much. Instead - opt for styles that suit your shape, and this way - you won't only look great, you can wear you clothes season after season!!! :-)) On yes, I love fashion, but I will NEVER compromise, STYLE for it!! The choice is your :-) Viva le Diva!

The best dresses for pearshapes

Image
1 - Empire dresses - especially with halternecks are great for your shape! This lengthens your torso and helps to balance your shoulders with your hips. I especially love the emerald pointy number on the left, - the pointy hem also slims the leg. The red dress with the contrast detail will immediately accentuate the bust and the square bust shape on the choc dress widens the bus, and broadens your small shoulders. Mid length and calf lengths are great for you...... Don't be afraid of maxi dress lengths either - they make you look super tall!! *wink* Wink* #I#know#your#secret# :-))
