Xpresso opens it's 3rd Coffee Cafe!

Hello Xpresso!
I don’t know about you, but I am a sucker for a well roasted, wholesome coffee – especially a frothy, tasty speciality coffee. My day has not started if I did not indulge in a beautiful cup of coffee. Thus, -  I was in disbelief when I stumbled on an express coffee café in Capegate mall,  called Xpresso, where EVERYTHING is R10! When I say everything…..I mean ALLES!!! That is less the $1 and less than 80 pence per item!! WHAAAAATT????

Best Price

                                                                                   Quirky vintage store feel

I have been programmed to believe that when something is cheap, the quality is cheap! Indeed! But -  this is not the case here at ALL! This is a java café  that would put most of the renowned coffeeshops to shame.

Nothing more than R10!

Amazing menu

The menu includes speciality coffees such as – Café Mochas, Americanos, Machiatos, Double Expressos, etc.  Teas include Red Cappucinos, Flavoured teas, etc, Cold drinks include – Fresh juices, Canned drinks, waters, iced coffees, etc.  just to name a few.

And if that is not enough, they also offer pastries and sweet treats ‘TO DIE FOR!!’ These vary from – Custard danishes (my personal favourite) Croissants, Copenhagen’s, muffins, brownies, pretzels (the size of Mount Rushmore!!) and many more!

Pastries and sweet treats to die for!!

Apart from gorgeous pastries, they freshly make salads and sandwiches while you wait – Egg, tuna, chicken and cheese are all available for your spoil.

Cool aesthetic!

Café backdrop with pricing

The store sports a vintage ‘vibe’ with a backdrop of wood in different shades and vintage images tieing into their cosy, quirky aesthetic. Vintage with a modern twist!

Attention to detail  - Brand Consistency

From the exceptional attention to detail in quality and taste, their branding is also extremely well considered. Each take away bag is clearly marked with their emblematic
Xpresso logo!

Customers can’t get enough

I laughed as a customer asked the waiter after purchasing a coffee: ‘So what is the price of the croissant?’ and the waiter replied ‘Everything is R10 mam’.
Another customer asked : ‘Is this an opening special?’ By which the assistant responded : ‘No sir, this is the set price every day.’
I saw customers taking full advantage of the value by purchasing 3 - 4 items for the price of one. Why not then, it’s a steal anyway?

The cafe is busy 24/7

So my question was – How do they do it? I suppose that is the one question that leaves us all baffled. But surely if they have 2 trading shops and just opened their 3rd, they must be doing something right!
Other branches include Durbanville, and Cape Town.

Owners  Tomer and Nicolene Elhadad’s vision was to sell the best items at the best price.
'Our dream for this franchise started from loving coffee and wanting to share this experience with everyone. Coffee has become very expensive and we wanted every person to be able to experience excellent coffee at a great price... R10 sounded great.' says Nicolene.

They also empower staff, compensate and train and empower them well with good managerial skills, in order to pay it forward. Empowering being a huge part of their business.

What an amazing concept! I am absolutely addicted! The problem is that I will never look at a speciality coffee priced more than R10 the same way ever again!

So - hurry down to any  Xpresso café, and enjoy the perks of great value, great taste, great service and for an awesome cause! :-)
