Hello ladies!! It is that gorgeous time of the year where matric dance hits Cape Town like a wild fire. You may, or may not know that I have an absolute passion to create elegant pieces. So today - I decided to show you some of my most recent dance dresses.....so do you still wonder why I've been so quiet?? :-) Alessia Alessia is a typical hourglass - she is fuller on the bust and hip. We have carefully placed her ranked applique in areas where we gently cover certain parts of her body, and although fabric is completely sheer - we still opted to place the lace in a modest, yet appealing manner.  This Italian woman, is the epitome of glam gorgeousness!  Gilah - (Pearshape) Gilah opted for similar fabric, but we engineered the design to capture her playful, yet strong personality. Do you have a heavy bottom and struggle to hide it with certain style?? Well...here is some help honey! Never fear when help is near!!!! :-) Wear softer, floatier shapes around the hip. I love the way these aline and slightly gather skirts hide the hips and bottoms without clinging! Don't be  afraid of prints either - as long as it is not vertical stripes! Pockets  could be slanted diagonally. Too rounded – could make you look bigger.   Stay clear from...... Bias cuts! Tops that rest on the widest part of your hip – it just make it bigger. Bias cut means the style is cut on a diagonal grain and is made to 'cling'to the body. Mermaid skirts are also not the best as they accentuate the hip and bottom. Avoid plain or patterned/printed pencil skirts... These are fitted as well and also tend to accentuate the bigger areas!

Are  you trying to avoid the obvious 'boyish' bosom this summer? Well....... try some of the following swimwear.............there will definitely be a shape that works for you darling! 1. Ruffle it!!   Ruffles accentuate the bust area play with different types and sizes of ruffles! There are plenty!If you need straps - try and get the detachable kind so you can transform your look as you please...  Try bold colour and the waterfall ruffle as above if you prefer full swimsuits. 2. You can totally rock vertical stripes!!! This elongates your neck, and creates a vertical line. Wear V-necklines or vertical striped wrap overs. This immediately draws the eyes down, which lengthens the neck. Halter necklines, plunging necks and dropped cowl necklines are perfect styles for you. Can you see the image on the right - how short her neck is?  It appears longer because of the styling around the neckline. Wear long fine, dangly necklaces and earrings. Anything that suits your tastelevel. Avoid chunky earrings and chokers! Avoid fussy bows, ruffles, and anything to distracting around the neck, as below..... these are beautiful shapes, but they will just make the neck appear shorter!
